The Pine Country Council is offering financial assistance to qualified livestock producers who are interested in installing Best Management Practices (BMP's) that reduce the potential of fecal coliform contamination in the Ohoopee/Little Ohooopee River Watersheds. Eligible practices include:

  • Heavy Use Area Protection
  • Livestock Exclusion
  • Steam Crossings
  • Closure of Waste Impoundments
  • Pasture and Hayland planting
  • Manure Pumpout

 


This special project if offered to producers with land in the Ohoopee/Little Ohoopee Watershed. Payments are being made based on 60% of the USDA EQIP cost-share rates. This project is a result of a $531,000 Section 319(h) USEPA Nonpoint source Implementation Grant.
